Who We Are
Before Tony and Dakota bought their first rental property, they spent time at the local Fort Wayne Real Estate Investors Associations. At the meetings, local investors like Jay Redding and Kolin Young would speak about their investing philosophies, share their knowledge, and answer questions. In 2017, Drew Wiard started a free Real Estate Investment Association (REIA). Drew’s Fort Wayne REIA was created with the intention to be different from other real estate investor associations. Drew did away with pitchy presentations and gimmicks. Mr. Wiard focused on promoting ethical practices, sharing information and strategies, and encouraging win-win partnerships.
In December 2022, Drew was looking to simplify his investing strategy so that he could have the life he wanted and spend more time with his family. While Drew was switching to doing more commercial investing, Tony and Dakota were moving into the education space and wanted to start their own REIA. Tony and Dakota purchased the Fort Wayne REIA from Drew and now hold meetings the first Friday of every month at 7pm. Raylene, Luis, Ed, Tony, and Dakota manage the Fort Wayne REIA Facebook page and advertise upcoming events.
